Noteworthy from this morning's walk was a very evident presence of
Great Tit totalling in excess of 55 birds around the site. Two
Tree Sparrow in the hedgerow at the Quarry Entrance were my first record of birds within the official park boundary. Small groups of
Siskin and
Lesser Redpoll were present around Mill Lakes and Leen Pastures, with a flock of the latter at Willow Pools potentially containing the odd Mealy.
